Today went by crazy fast. I didn't feel like I got much done but looking back I stayed busy! I put away all of our easter decorations and went through the kids clothes to seperate the ones that no longer fit them and then boxed them up! I cleaned the bathroom...I even cleaned the bathtub! I washed and folded all of the laundry but unfortunately Rem's comforter didn't make it to the dryer in time for bed. I loaded and unloaded the dishwasher and cleaned up the kitchen and a million other daily tasks!
Around lunch time a little neighbor girl about Rems age knocked on the door and just stood there and said nothing. So asked her if she wanted to play with Rem and she shook her head no. So I asked her if she needed help with something and she told me no. Then she said she wanted to walk our dog. I told her we didn't have a dog. Rem chimed in and said, "We have a cat". So the little girl asked to walk the cat. I told her he's an indoor only cat and if he got out he might run away. She told me she could run really fast. Then she asked if I had a leash. I told her we didn't. Then she asked to see the cat. So I told her he is hiding under my bed and I can't get him out. She asked to go look. I asked her if it was okay with her Mom and dad if she came in my house. She told me her mom was at school and her dad wouldn't know. I laughed and told her to go home and she could come over another day when it was okay with her parents! Silly kid!
Keaton skipped the gym today so he got home early and did yoga in the family room. I picked up a few toys and then got ready to go to mutual. It was a combined yw activity and the girls learned how to play footsal. I wasn't expecting to play so I wore flip flops. Bad idea because they ended up needing the leaders to play so they'd have enough players. I had to play with bare feet. I totally thought it was going to suck but it wasn't so bad and I ended up having a lot of fun. Our team lost by a landslide but no one seemed to care which was marvellous because I hate when people get so into winning that the game loses all it's fun! Everyone just played to have fun and did!
Now it's super late and I'm in bed playing on my phone while everyone else is asleep. Every morning I tell myself I'm going to go to bed earlier this time but as soon as that time comes it's just way too tempting to stay up and do what only I want to do without any interruptions!!! Once again I've done that and once again I'll pay the price in the morning when Tristan wakes up and I realized I only got 6 hours of sleep! Oh well.maybe I'll sneak in a nap while he takes his (another thing I always tell myself that never happens).
I love these simple days. I love the moments that slip between the cracks. The quick kisses from Tristan. The way he snuggles into me when I get him out of his bed from his nap. His silly expressions. The way he put him self in time out for a brief moment then comes running out chasing Rem around the house trying to show her that he can be soft now. I love that Rem likes following me around the house watching every little thing I do and asking why and how I'm doing it. I love listening to the songs she makes up and the stories she tells me. I love walking into her bedroom catching her playing make believe and listening to her imaginations come to life! I love seeing the pictures she paints and her colorings in her books and seeing how she now can stay in the lines.... I love my life so much! I love my family and the part that each of us play! Life can be so wonderful! I'm thankful for another regular day!
