Little update

My Tristan Boy!
Tristan is such a little boy and into EVERYTHING!  I love it!  He not only walks but also runs, jumps and climbs. He loves to play with cars and balls and trains.  He's not afraid of much except being thrown in the air.  He is obsessed with lights.  Every room we walk in he immediately finds the light and points to it.  Then we try to jump to it and if possible I lift him up so he can touch it.  When we're done he wants to do it again and again and again he never gets enough!  He also loves to take baths and play in the water but he has a hard time sitting still or just sitting at all.  He has to be exploring everything all the time so we're working on teaching him how to just sit when he is in the tub because he has fallen more than a few times.  Thankfully he's never been hurt.  He loves to play with daddy but is definitely a mama's boy.  He loves to be held and cuddled with especially when he wakes up from his naps and no one will do but mom.  I think he is just about ready to switch from 2 naps to 1 but not quite yet.  He's in that in between stage where he's taking 2 shorter naps but one just isn't enough to get him through till bed time.  I'm so thankful this guy is a part of our family.  I can't imagine life without him.  He smiles all the time and flirts with all the ladies at church.  They are all in love with him.  He has the best smile and is always making the cutest faces.  I'm so in love with this guy.
Rem and Tristan's relationship is so funny to me.  Most of the time they get along alright.  Rem still loves on him a little too much but he likes it most of the time.  She is a great helper at cheering him up when he is sad about something.  Then there are the times when they don't get along so well.  Rem wants any toy or thing that Tristan has and she thinks that because she is bigger and older it's okay for her to just grab it from him which he didn't mind a few months ago but lately he's not okay with that.  He responds by screaming at her or pinching her, pulling her hair or hitting her in the face.  She gets so mad at him but she also stays in his face so he can keep doing it.  I don't understand it so I just let them work it out.

My Rem Doll
This Sassy girl is my best little friend.  She loves to talk.  She loves to talk to strangers from anywhere as long as they are girls because girls aren't scarey like boys are.  She's shy around boys because she doesn't like them so she won't talk to them.  These are some of the things she tells me about!  She loves to make up stories and she has the most amazing imaginations.  I love listening to her talking whiles she's playing she is so cleaver with the things she comes up with I just know she is having so much fun in her own little world.  She loves to build nest using all of the pillows, blankets and stuffed animals in the house; she'll put them in front of  the couch then jump into the fluff.  She loves to dress up, she loves to dance and jump around the house.  She just discovered ice skating while watching the Olympics and now she pretends that she is ice skating and twirls around in circles.  She loves to play dress up and make believe she is a princess.  I've started "homeschooling" her; nothing official I make up my own curriculum. We mostly focus on letters and letter sounds, then we do an art project, some "science experiments" and then finish reading stories for 30 min.  She loves it.  We do it during Tristan's nap time so she gets a lot of one on one time with me totally focused on her and she's in heaven.  She can be a very stubborn girl at times only willing to do things her way and on her time table.  I'm learning to work with it and try to figure out ways to lead her in the direction she needs to go in.  However there are still times that things sneak up on us and I need her to do something she's doesn't want to and her way of dealing with it is by screaming at the top of her lungs over and over again "NEVER NEVER NO NEVER NEVER!!!!".  When I think about it it makes me laugh but in the moment I usually want to pull my hair out.  She loves our family.  She tells me about everyday that when she grows up she wants to marry me and she wants daddy to marry Tristan and we can all live together in the same house forever.  I'm so glad she's a part of our family too she sure spices things up for us.  We all love her so much.
